Assurances and Expectations
Teen Coaching is a collaborative effort between the Coach, Client, and Parent. All parties are expected to collaborate, communicate goals, concerns and successes, and problem solve together as they arise. Coaching packages are considered non-refundable, but, for any reason, if you would like to terminate coaching services before ending a package, the parent is to communicate the concern and AURA will work toward solutions that benefit all parties. This may include transferring coaching to other offered services such as 504 or Special Education Advocacy or Parent Coaching. By purchasing a coaching package, you acknowledge receipt and understanding of all assurances and expectations.
Confidentiality Statement
Confidentiality is an important element of the coaching process. Your identity and ongoing work will be kept strictly confidential. I will only release information about our work with your written permission and for specific and agreed-upon reasons such as collaboration with therapists and school personnel, or if I am required by court order. The following exceptions will apply:
1. There are a broad range of events that are reportable under child protection statutes. Physical or sexual abuse of a child will be reported to Child Protective Services. When the victim of child abuse is over age 18, I am not legally mandated to report it unless I believe that there are minors still living with the abuser who may be in danger of being abused. Elder abuse is also required to be reported to the appropriate authorities.
2. If the client demonstrates an imminent risk to themself or someone else or make threats of imminent violence against another person, I will take appropriate action.
